Decorations were on show outside her workplace, JuicyTubes Tanning Studio, in Wake Green Road, as the singer's fans showed their support for the Tipton sensation.

Amy Lou secured her spot in Britain's Got Talent finals to be held on Sunday with a hit performance of 'And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going' by the Dreamgirls, wowing judges, spectators and family alike.

Supporters in her home town have now decorated several streets with her likeness, showing support for the singer in the lead-up to her finals performance.

Andy Smith, Amy's dad, was at the semi-finals. He said: "I'm proud, she doesn't have any big aspirations, she just went in really to show her children that you can do whatever you put your mind to.

"I'm her biggest fan - I never had any doubts that she would make it this far, I don't have any doubts now."

Dozens of Amy's Tipton fans turned up at her workplace to show their support, wearing T-shirts and waving flags with the singer's face on them.

Mr Smith continued: "Amy is Tipton born and bred, she is completely in love with her town, she loves Tipton. Monday night if you went into any of the pubs around here, it was like we made it through to the finals of the football - every pub was packed.

"I just feel like we have gone through a tough few years, especially with Covid and the cost of living crisis, she has given everyone a bit of a light at the end of the tunnel, there is a real buzz and a good feeling around the town."

Amy's manager, Aimee Causer, 43, decorated the singer's workplace to show her support.

"She's the jolliest, happiest person I know. She would casually go around singing. From when she started we all said she needs to go on X Factor or Britain's Got Talent, she has such a nice voice and such a nice character, we hope people see that."

Amy Lou Smith is set to reappear on our televisions this Sunday at 7.30pm, where she will perform for the last time in the competition to win £250,000 and a place at the annual Royal Variety Show on November 30.
