A planning application has been made to knock down the Puffing Billy, on Raglan Road, Smethwick.

Its license was revoked by Sandwell Council in 2016 after Jamar Walker, 15, was fatally stabbed in the street outside on December 20, 2015.

In April 2019, a fire ripped through the building in what was a suspected arson attack.

The application to Sandwell Council, made by Baljeet Singh, says the "existing vacant building is of poor repair and is a health and safety risk".
