Popular Staffordshire pub closes for refurbishment with 'big changes' promised
The pub is set to reopen on Wednesday, November 11
A popular Rugeley pub has temporarily closed its doors for a major refurbishment, with customers promised a fresh new look and a host of improvements when it reopens next month.
The Chase pub called last orders at 3.30pm on Sunday, October 18, before closing at 4pm to allow refurbishment work to get under way.
The pub is set to reopen on Wednesday, November 11, with new spaces, additional screens and improved facilities among the changes planned.

Announcing the closure on Facebook, the pub teased some of the improvements customers can expect when it welcomes them back.
The post said: "Big changes are on the horizon at Chase Rugeley!
"We're closing temporarily from 4pm on Sunday 18th October for a refurbishment.

"When we reopen on 11th November, expect a fresh new look, exciting new spaces and a few surprises we think you're going to love.
"We can't share everything just yet, but trust us, it'll be worth the wait! Stay tuned for sneak peeks along the way!"

Steve Banks, landlord at The Chase, said he was excited about the changes and was looking forward to welcoming customers back through the doors.
He said: "We're really looking forward to welcoming everyone back to our grandstand Chase Pub.
"Lots of change is afoot and you'll see great things happening, more screens, better interaction, more offerings, and we cannot wait to welcome you all back on Wednesday, November 11.
"I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again soon."
The pub will be closed for just over three weeks while the work takes place, with further details of the refurbishment expected to be revealed ahead of its reopening.
