Overnight works to repair M5 after caravan fire - lanes reopen
A caravan fire sparked the incident
All lanes on the M5 southbound between Junction 5 at Droitwich Spa and Junction 6 at Worcester have now reopened after emergency repairs were completed following a caravan fire.
National Highways had earlier closed three of the four lanes after the blaze caused damage to the road surface. Repair works continued overnight and were scheduled to be completed by 6am on Saturday.
The motorway is now fully open, with traffic flowing normally and no significant delays reported.
Drivers travelling through the area this weekend are no longer expected to encounter disruption linked to the incident.
