The rebuild has begun at a Codsall bar that was wrecked by a kitchen fire at the weekend.
Around 25 firefighters from stations across the region tackled the blaze at Charlie’s Sports Bar & Grill on Wood Road on Codsall, on Saturday afternoon (August 22) following an incident in the kitchen space.
Charlie’s proprietor Jordan Diver told the Express & Star: “We are all safe and bringing the community together to start the rebuild of Charlie’s.”
He also posted on Facebook: “Thank you everyone for all of your kind messages of compassion and care. I’m amazed at how much we have moved on today.”
Meanwhile, a fundraiser set up by a member of the community has passed its original total and is continuing to raise more funds.
The GoFundMe page set up by Curtis Ellis has raised more than £7,300 since it was launched, surpassing the £5,000 original target in just a few days,
