New images reveal devastating aftermath of Wolverhampton blaze
New images have shown the ruins of a Wolverhampton factory days after a major blaze took place.
Updated images have shown the devastation that has been left behind following a major blaze that ripped through a Wolverhampton factory unit last week.
More than eight fire engines and more than 60 firefighters attended the fire at a factory unit on the junction of Walsall Street.

Residents described hearing ‘loud bangs’ and seeing plumes of ‘black smoke’ as the fire ravaged through the building, with social media users posting images and videos of chimneys of smoke rising above the Wolverhampton skyline.
During the fire, homes and nearby businesses were evacuated for around two hours, with no cause of the blaze being determined as of yet.

The new images show the fire-gutted building more than three days after the fire took place, with roof joists being seen through an extensively damaged ceiling.
Around the charred building, piles of rubble and debris could also be seen spewed across the road, with teams of fire investigators still working at the scene.

A road closure remains on the affected road, with red plastic barriers blocking cars from entering the street.

West Midlands Fire Service confirmed that no injuries or casualties were reported due to the fire, with the fire involving the entirety of the two-storey commercial factory unit.

At the time of the blaze, a fire spokesperson said: “At the height of this incident, ten fire engines, two 4×4 brigade response vehicles and two hydraulic platforms were in attendance, crewed by firefighters from Wolverhampton, Fallings Park, Walsall, Willenhall, Bilston, Dudley, Tipton, Wednesbury, Oldbury, Bloxwich, Brierley Hill and Perry Barr.
“There were no injuries or casualties.”
Emergency services have been approached for further information.
