Services operated by National Express’ Birmingham operation have transferred to Johnsons Coaches (part of The Coach Travel Group), Amans Travel and Travelstar European from today (Monday September 7).

National Express said the partnerships reflect its long-standing approach of working with experienced regional operators to deliver services locally while maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability and customer care.

Customers will continue to receive the same trusted experience wherever they travel on the network, the coach business said.

Under the new arrangements, Johnsons Coaches will operate services 777 and 707, with Amans Travel running the 210, 400, 409 and 410 services. Travelstar European will also support the 400, 410, and 707 routes.

Javier de los Rios, senior operations lead at National Express, said: “Our partner operators are fundamental to the delivery of our UK network, and we are delighted to be working with three highly respected operators for our Midlands services. Throughout this transition, our primary focus has been ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for our customers.

“As we continue to develop our UK Coach network, working with experienced operators such as Johnsons Coaches, Amans Travel and Travelstar European gives us the flexibility and operational strength to deliver a resilient and sustainable network for the future.”

The company said the strategic partnerships underline the vital role independent coach operators play in supporting the National Express network and connecting communities across the UK.
