Motorists warned of delays near Sutton Coldfield due to water works

Motorists have been warned to expect delays on a road near Sutton Coldfield as essential water works take place.
West Midlands Roads put out a message on social media to inform that there would be a lane closure on the A5127 Lichfield Road at the junction with the A453 Tamworth Road to allow the works by South Staffs Water to be completed.
It said the works were scheduled to run today only (October 21) - but warned people to expect delays.
A spokesman for West Midlands Roads said: “There is a lane closure due to essential South Staffs Water works on the A5127 Lichfield Road, around the junction with A453 Tamworth Road, in Sutton Coldfield.
“It is scheduled for today, October 21, only, so please expect delays and plan ahead.”
