Motorists in Bridgnorth warned to expect delays ahead of town's 10k
The race takes place on Sunday from 11am.
Motorists in Bridgnorth have been warned to expect delays on Sunday as the town’s 10k returns for its third running.
The event, which takes place from 11am, sees runners take their marks in the High Street, which will be closed to traffic from 6am.
But organisers have said those travelling from Broseley and Highley into the town should also expect delays.
A spokesperson for the event said: “Please expect short delays due to the Bridgnorth 10k Road Race, from 11am.
“This applies to the Broseley Road approaching the town and Innage Lane to allow runners to cross the road at Northgate.
“The High Street will be closed to traffic from 6am to approximately 2pm.
“Also expect delays on the Oldbury Road (B4363) junction with Hollybush Road. Marshals will get runners through as quickly and as safely as possible, but please be patient while they make their way through.”
