Strang pleaded guilty to six offences, including possessing explosive substances, terrorism-related material, and making threats to kill. He was sentenced today at Birmingham Crown Court.

The teen had moved from South Africa to the UK with his parents, where he was described as transforming from a ‘nice kid’ to a teenager obsessed with violence.

He was arrested after it was reported that he had videos of himself torturing cats and that he had told people at the college that he was carrying knives and would ‘blow up’ the college.

He had also shown classmates photos of homemade weapons and discussed his attack on their college, as well as sharing homemade videos of him lighting substances in his garden and kitchen.

A search of his devices led police to uncover a manifesto, written by Strang in 2025, which said ‘I am writing this before I do something big, something violent, maybe serial killing, maybe a rampage’.

The manifesto also discussed his desire to be like ‘famous’ serial killers, including the Sandy Hook school shooter.

A search of his home revealed that he had been testing making explosive powders and had ingredients capable of making thermite and gunpowder.

Now, video footage of his arrest has been released by the Crown Prosecution Service following his sentencing.

The video shows police confirming the reason for Jagger’s arrest, as well as an officer reading him his rights.

Jagger pleaded guilty to all charges at Leicester Crown Court on May 6, 2026, and was sentenced to three years and 11 months in custody at Birmingham Crown Court today.
