Moment banned motorist ploughs into garden wall during high speed chase
The dangerous driver raced from pursuing officers in an attempt to escape.
Mohammad Khan, of Rookery Road, Handsworth, has been jailed after taking officers on a high speed chase around Birmingham, only stopping when he smashed straight into garden wall.
Khan was spotted speeding in a Mercedes A Class, on Soho Road, Birmingham, on May 13, by the roads policing officers who were among dozens of units in the area as part of Operation Fearless.

After spotting him, officers began to pursue the dangerous driver, however, he failed to stop, and at times reached speeds of up to 60mph in 30mph zones.
At one point, Khan even entered the wrong side of the road and forced oncoming vehicles to break and swerve to avoid him.
During the dramatic chase, Khan clipped one of the public’s cars, before finally speeding into Buechamp Avenue, where he hit a clipped a curb and then hit a garden wall and tree.
Khan raced from the vehicle, attempted to flee officers, however, he quickly surrendered when he was confronted by pursuing units.

The 28-year-old was jailed for 14 months at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday, admitting too dangerous driving, uninsured driving, and driving whilst disqualified.
He was also banned from driving for 29 months.
Detective inspector Tom Lyons, from Operation Fearless, said: “Khan picked a really bad day to be speeding on the Soho Road. We had dozens of officers and partners out in the area to get the message out that Fearless had arrived to make the area safer for everyone who lives, works and visits there.
“Great work by traffic officers who were there to support us meant that a banned and uninsured motorist who was willing to put himself, others, and our officers at risk with his dangerous driving is now behind bars.”
