Public invited to help Wolverhampton charities as popular sleepout event returns
The event invites people to brave the elements and sleep outside at Molineux Stadium to raise funds for two charities.
Two Wolverhampton charities are gearing up for a popular fundraising event where people will brave the elements in an outdoor sleepout event.
Molineux Stadium will be the setting for the annual Molineux Sleepout on Friday, November 13, an event which sees people brave the elements in the Stan Cullis Stand in solidarity with people experiencing homelessness and other vulnerabilities across Wolverhampton.
Money raised from the Sleepout is shared equally between the Good Shepherd and the Wolves Foundation, with both charities providing vital support to people across the city.
Since it began, the Molineux Sleepout has raised more than £300,000, helping the Wolves Foundation and Good Shepherd deliver essential services and support people facing some of the most challenging circumstances.

Chef and influencer Mitch Lane, who is an ambassador for both charities, will be supporting the event and joining participants at Molineux.
He said: “The Molineux Sleepout is always a really special event in my calendar.
“Spending one night in the cold is a small thing for us to do, but the money raised can make a massive difference to the people who need support across the city.
“As a proud ambassador for both the Wolves Foundation and Good Shepherd, I’d encourage anyone who’s thinking about it to sign up, take part and come and join us.”
Kieron Ansell, Head of Business Development at Wolves Foundation, said: “The Molineux Sleepout, to be delivered again alongside our colleagues from the Good Shepherd, is such an important event in our calendar not just because of the vital funds that are raised, but also the issues which are highlighted.

“We know a lot of people across the city are facing challenging times, but what is so special about our community is how people are willing to come together and step up to help each other, and this event is the perfect example.
“It is that selfless generosity which ensures charities like ours are able to continue making such a positive impact, with Wolves Foundation continuing to deliver so many different projects to create opportunities and change the lives of those who we support.”
Adult places are currently available for £25, while junior places are £10, with participants asked to aim for a fundraising target of £100.
Organisers are encouraging people across Wolverhampton and beyond to sign up, get sponsored and spend one night at Molineux to help make a difference.
