Man injured after Cannock crash near social club

One man has been left with minor injuries following a collision on Wellington Road, Cannock, on Wednesday.

The crash, which took place near the Longford Social Club, was reported to have taken place at around 8.25pm, with an ambulance and air ambulance both attending the scene.

On arrival, West Midlands Ambulance Service crews discovered one vehicle which had come off the road.

One patient, the driver of the vehicle, was also found and was treated for injuries not believed to be serious; he was conveyed to New Cross Hospital for further checks.

An ambulance spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of an RTC on Wellington Drive in Cannock at 8.25pm.

“An ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance were sent to the scene, where, on arrival, crews found one car had come off the road.

“The driver, a man, was treated for injuries not believed to be serious and conveyed via road to New Cross Hospital.”
