Man charged with Class A drug offences after police raid in Walsall

Jeremiah Williams has been charged with drug supply offences following the police raid.

A man has been charged with drug supply offences and being possession of criminal property following a raid by police.

Jeremiah Williams is accused with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin between February and July and being in possession of criminal property including cash and designer luxury goods to the value of £48,665.

Williams, aged 31, was appearing before magistrates in Birmingham on Friday. No details are yet available of his appearance.

The charge comes after County Lines Task Force officers from West Midlands Police carried out warrants in Walsall on Thursday as part of a joint operation with Walsall Police’s Serious Organised Crime and Exploitation (SOCEX) team.

A second man in his 30s who was arrested on Thursday was released and will face no further action.

The arrests were made in connection with an investigation into crack cocaine and heroin being supplied through a drugs line in the Walsall area.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “It’s all part of Operation Target which sees us take a defiant stand against those involved in guns, drugs, money laundering and exploitation.

“You can report crime to us by ringing 101 or alternatively Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
