Man, 36, guilty of rape in Wolverhampton
A jury heard a woman was raped in Wolverhampton.
A 36-year-old Wolverhampton man has been found guilty of rape by a jury.
Joe Baranowski, of Penn Road, Penn, was convicted of three counts of raping a woman in May last year.
However, he was found not guilty of two further rape offences and not guilty of intentional strangulation at the city’s crown court.

Following the verdicts, Judge Richard Grimshaw, revealed that the case was likely to be his final trial in the criminal courts.
He also said: “In light of the verdict I must consider the issue of dangerousness. Given that this is possibly my last trial we also need to consider sentencing him as early as possible.”
He told the jury: “This has been a difficult and long case. You’ve had some difficult material to consider. It is clear to me we were a hard working jury.
“Our system of justice relies on on people like you giving your time so that a trial can be held for serious cases such as this one. Thank you for your service and for sitting into a third week.”
The matter was adjourned until August for reports.
