Major Midlands road still closed due to overnight police-led incident
The road has been closed for hours
The A46 northbound in Warwickshire remains closed this morning following a police-led incident overnight.
The closure is in place between the A452 at Kenilworth and the A45 at Stivichall Interchange, with officers from Warwickshire Police currently in attendance.
National Highways first confirmed the closure shortly after 2am, and the road was still shut as of 6.20am on Friday morning.
Despite the ongoing closure, traffic conditions on surrounding routes were reported to be relatively light during the early morning hours, with no significant delays on approach.
