Lucky duo get run of Cannock store as they sweep up
It was a case of Supermarket sweet as two lucky customers got the run of a Cannock discount store for two minutes on Saturday.
Stacey Ames and Frankie Woodhouse were chosen as the recipients of a two minute 'dash' around Newlife Discount + store and could grab as much as they wanted in their baskets in the allotted time, with mascot Nugget the Bear cheering them on
During Black Friday week, every shopper who made a purchase at one of the organisation's three Cannock stores as well as at Newlife Online, were entered into a draw to win the ‘Supermarket Sweep'
Stacey, who came over from Birmingham after being notified by e-mail that she had won, managed to grab £188 of goods, mainly for her four-year-old son Miles who had primed her with what he wanted her to grab.
Stacey said: "It was a lot of fun and good to have Miles shouting me on though at first he was saying I wasn't going for the right things.
"But I managed to get him some games and goods for the house as well so it was well worth it and just like being on Supermarket Sweep as I imagine."
