Rail passengers delays are warned of delays this Sunday as train services are replaced by buses between Wolverhampton and Stafford.

London Northwestern Railway have warned that bus replacement services will come into effect between Wolverhampton and Stafford to make way for urgent repair works. 

The operator said that the bus replacement services will run until 11am on Sunday (September 7).

The train operator also urged those travelling between Birmingham New Street and Liverpool Lime Street to check for possible disruptions before they travel. 

On X, the group said: "Engineering works between Wolverhampton and Stafford, Sunday.

"Due to engineering works, services will run as replacement buses between Wolverhampton and Stafford until 11am. 

"Passengers travelling between Birmingham and Liverpool should check before they travel."
