Temporary traffic lights were installed in Dudley Road, Blakenhall, yesterday, to allow for work being carried out by CityFibre.
The work led to long traffic queues heading northbound into the city centre.
Meanwhile, in Sedgley temporary traffic lights are expected to remain in Gospel End Road until Thursday. The roadworks, just west of the junction with Northway, are due to work being carried out by National Grid.
