Teenage boy taken to hospital with stab wounds in Wolverhampton

A 16-year-old who walked into a Wolverhampton medical centre suffering from stab wounds has been taken to hospital.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at Showell Park Medical Centre, on Fifth Avenue, on Monday at just before 5.15pm.

Investigations are in their early stages but it is believed the teenager was attacked nearby on Showell Circus, the force said.

One ambulance, a paramedic officer, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic attended alongside the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford.

The teenager remains in hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing, the force confirmed.

A spokesman for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We treated a teenage boy for injuries not believed to be life-threatening and he was conveyed to hospital by land ambulance for further treatment.”
