Two Post Offices in Wolverhampton have temporarily closed

Wolverhampton branches on Darlington Street and in the Avion Centre, Whitmore Reans, have been added to the Post Office's list of temporary "unplanned closures".

Confirming the closures, Carol Holas, from the national consultation team, said: "Regrettably, the wide reaching effects of the coronavirus pandemic may cause branches to close unexpectedly or operate reduced opening hours.

"However, as many branches as possible are staying open. The situation is changing daily, and branches aim to stay open as long as this can be done safely and with appropriate care for vulnerable postmasters and their teams."

The branch on Lichfield Street is open from 9am-3pm, while the Worcester Street branch operates from 9am-5.30pm.
