Wembley dream over for Walsall Wood

Walsall Wood's dreams of heading to Wembley for the first time are over as they lost 2-1 to Warrington Rylands in the FA Vase semi-final.

Goals from Kane Drummond and a penalty from Elliott Nevitt were enough to seal a historic win for the Cheshire outfit.

Drummond coolly rounded keeper James Wren to give his side a 25th-minute lead before Ste Milne was chopped down in the box with Nevitt converting from the spot.

But Walsall refused to go down quietly and pulled a late goal back through Tom Tonks stunner.

Warrington survived two-injury time scares as Wood through everything in search of an equaliser, but ultimately held on for the win.

Rylands will face Binfield FC from Berkshire at Wembley next Saturday, May 22.
