Lottery bosses even launched a limited edition beer in an attempt to track down the mysterious winner, who bought their ticket in the Walsall area in September.

But despite the extensive campaign, nobody has come forward with the winning ticket, with the deadline expiring on Wednesday.

"If it is not claimed by then, it will go back into the pot to help good causes," said a spokesman for the National Lottery.

The missing ticket was bought for the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker draw on September 18, 2020. The Millionaire Maker code is ZVKP 53227.
