Harley's Smokehouse, in Dunsley Road, Kinver, closed on September 7, after "a person within Harley's Smokehouse's building tested positive for Covid-19".

The restaurant later said in a Facebook statement that the person who had contracted the virus was "from the back of house".

It was due to be closed for 14 days – but the restaurant has since revealed that they have been deemed safe to reopen from 12pm today.

In a statement, Harley's Smokehouse said: "Following our full cooperation with Environmental Health, who have visited the business and reviewed the Covid-secure controls we have in place, they have deemed us safe to open as of Friday [today] at 12pm.

"All of our staff are so excited to welcome you all back. We would like to thank Public Health England for their guidance and a huge thank you to our customers who have continued to support us."
