Train passengers are being warned of disruption in Staffordshire due to damage to overhead electric wires.
Avanti West Coast reported on X at just after 7am this morning: " Due to damage to the overhead electric wires at Lichfield Trent Valley trains have to run at reduced speed on all lines Northbound.
"Train services running through this station may be delayed or revised. Tamworth and Lichfield Trent Valley will not be served."
Ticket acceptance has been agreed with London Northwestern Railway between Rugby and Stafford for customers to travel via rail replacement bus for Lichfield Trent Valley and Tamworth.
London Northwestern Railway also put out a warning.
It said on X: "Damage to the overhead wires between Stafford - Rugby.
"Services between Stafford - Rugby via Tamworth are severely disrupted.
"Tickets will be accepted on LNR and WMR services via Birmingham.
"Road transport ordered between Rugby and Stafford via all stations."
