Police investigating fatal motorbike crash in Staffordshire

A 28-year-old man died after he crashed his motorcycle in Staffordshire.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene in Cold Meece, near Stone, on Tuesday morning.

Fellow motorists and paramedics tried to save him.

There was no other vehicles involved in the crash, which took place on Swynnerton Road, near to Pillstone Cottages, just before 11.10am.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "An orange KTM motorcycle with a single rider was involved in a collision. No other vehicle was involved.

"Sadly, despite the efforts of motorists and staff from the West Midlands Ambulance Service, the 28-year-old male rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Officers are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision or the orange-coloured motorcycle prior to the collision to contact Staffordshire Police on 101."
