'Services will be busier than usual': Additional call times added to rail services ahead of tonight's West Brom face-off against Sheffield United

West Midlands Rail has announced that additional times will be added to calls ahead of tonight's West Brom v Sheffield United match.

Rail operator, West Midlands Railway, has increased the amount of time that services will spend at their stations to 'ensure passengers can board safely for tonight's West Bromwich Albion v Sheffield United match at The Hawthorns. 

It comes as Albion prepare to clash with Sheffield United at The Hawthorns Stadium at 8pm.

West Midlands Railway have said that the increase in call time is to ensure that passengers have ample time to board safely, and that 'services will be busier than usual'.

On X, the rail operator said: "West Brom are back in action this evening as they take on Sheffield United at The Hawthorns. 

"Additional times will be added to calls to ensure passengers can board services safely. 

"Services will be busier than usual."

The rail operator advised all those travelling on tonight's services to check their journeys ahead of travelling, via the National Rail website.
