Woman taken to hospital with 'potentially serious injuries' after crash in Rowley Regis

A woman was treated for serious injuries after a crash in Rowley Regis this afternoon (Wednesday).

Buses were diverted around the scene of the collision, involving two cars, at the junction of Britannia Road and Oldbury Road.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called shortly after 2pm to a road traffic collision involving two cars at the junction of Britannia Road and Oldbury Road in Rowley Regis. 

"One ambulance attended the scene. Upon arrival we found a woman who was the driver of the first car. 

"She was assessed and had sustained potentially serious injuries. She received treatment at the scene before being conveyed to Midland Metropolitan University Hospital for further assessment. No further patients required treatment.”
