The drivers grapple in the road

Both men ended up in the road after getting out of their cars and squaring up to each other in Oldbury.

One armed himself with what appears to be a metal bar before being overpowered by his rival.

The pregnant partner of the one of the driver can be heard on the dramatic footage screaming and she pleads with them to stop fighting.

The confrontation happened after a driver took umbrage at being tailgated by the Ford Mondeo, which had been driving erratically earlier and overtaking other cars on the residential road, believed to be in the Vicarage Road area.

In the footage, the driver of the Mondeo comes to a halt and gets out of his car first - but is quickly confronted by the other man, who refuses to be intimidated and whips off his jumper apparently game for a fight.

The Mondeo driver retreats to his car but rather than drive away, he reaches into his door and pulls out a weapon.

But his opposite number is not deterred, despite the threat, and swiftly takes him to the ground before holding him down.

After a few seconds of grappling them men walk back to their cars after a few choice words are shared between the pair, while been kept apart by a passer-by.

The woman then shouts for the man to 'get back in the car' and the door can be heard slamming as the Mondeo drives off.

The drama unfolded on October 20 and the footage has gone viral online.

West Midlands Police said it was not aware the incident had been reported.
