Firefighters were called to the area in the early hours of this morning (July 14) to a fire in a terraced commercial building.

Cradley Heath resident, Wendy Taylor, 54, who witnessed the fire, said: "It looked pretty bad at the time. It doesn't look like it's done a lot of damage on the outside, but you never know. I hope everyone's okay."

Mark Walton, 43, who lives near the high street, added: "You could see it last night, there was a lot of sirens around.

"I think it was derelict, hopefully no one is injured. Good thing the other businesses weren't too badly damaged."

No injuries were reported from the scene.
