Man dies following medical emergency in Stourbridge

West Midlands Ambulance Service crews were called to Church Avenue, Stourbridge shortly before 2.30pm on Wednesday (December 31).

Upon arrival they found a man in a critical condition and administered life support. However, despite the paramedics' best efforts he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: “We were called at 2.21pm on Wednesday to a medical emergency on Church Avenue, near Amblecote.  

"Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance attended the scene. Upon arrival we found a man in a critical condition.

"Ambulance staff administered advanced life support to him but sadly, nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
