Drivers 'moving barriers' as road in Dudley closed off for resurfacing

A road in Dudley has been closed off for works - causing frustration for drivers.

Part of Leys Road in Brierley Hill, Dudley, has been closed off for roadworks.

Images posted on Facebook yesterday (Tuesday 17 March) shows part of the road, outside Saint John's Church, closed. 

The pictures showed the road and part of the pavement full of rubble as part of resurfacing work.

Pictures obtained by the Express & Star this morning (Wednesday 18 March) shows that part of Leys Road outside of the church is still shut as work is still being carried out on the road.

Users on Facebook shared yesterday how they have saw drivers frustrated at the closure.

One user said: "Drivers moving barriers driving through going down one way streets so dangerous. Just waiting for the crash...".

Another user commented: "Yes watching them kicking over the signs to drive through".

The Express & Star has contacted Dudley Council for comment.
