Incident at Dudley Port closes train line between Birmingham and Wolverhampton

The train line between Birmingham and Wolverhampton which was closed this evening due to a police incident is now open.

The incident happened at Dudley Port just before 4pm and closed the line for approximately three hours.

Passengers, who should now only be making essential journeys, were warned to expect disruption as a result.

Claire Brown, spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We were called to reports of a collision at Tipton Railway Station, Owen Street, Tipton at 3.48pm.

"We currently have a number of resources on scene."
