Harrowing CCTV shows the moment a woman was "pushed or thrown" 40ft from a West Midlands tower block window in an attack by her controlling boyfriend.

Jordan Herring, 22, either "pushed or threw" his 18-year-old partner from the fourth floor of Merton House, in Chelmsley Wood, Solihull, West Midlands.

Disturbing footage captured the moment she fell to the ground after being attacked by the Herring at 11.22pm on November 12 2022.

The victim was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition with a collapsed lung and fractures to her pelvis, spine and ribs.

Incredibly, her head avoided contact with the concrete pavement by a matter of inches and she left hospital a week later.

Herring went on trial at Birmingham Crown Court charged with attempted murder after previously being convicted of coercive and controlling behaviour.

This week (Monday), he was cleared of trying to kill the teenager but found guilty of inflicting grievous bodily harm. Herring, of Solihull, will be sentenced on April 13.
