Plane headed for Birmingham declares fuel emergency after being forced to divert after airport closure
A plane heading for Birmingham was forced to declare an emergency after the West Midlands airport was closed due to Storm Goretti.
Birmingham Airport was forced to suspend their operations due to heavy snow on Thursday, January 8 evening.
That closure left one plane that was approaching the West Midlands in a state of emergency due to it being low on fuel.
The aircraft was forced to divert after it declared a fuel emergency to expedite its descent into London Heath Row.
