Officers investigating a fatal collision in Birmingham are appealing for the public's help.

West Midlands Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit is carrying out enquiries following a collision in Harborne near the junction of City Road and Sandon Road in October.

A man in his 60s was hit by a car shortly after 1pm on October 29, and passed away from his injuries in hospital a short time later.

Police say they are working to establish the circumstances of the collision and are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and may have information.

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died at what is a desperately sad time.

"We know there will have been other drivers in the area possibly with dashcam footage and we would like to see that and speak with those drivers.

"The driver of the car involved remained at the scene, so we now want to speak to anyone else who might have seen what happened."

If you know more about what happened, West Midlands Police are inviting you to call 101 quoting log 2381 of 29 October, or email the team directly at SCIU@westmidlands.police.uk.
