Three West Midlands men deny charges over alleged kidnapping and rape of child
Three men have pleaded not guilty to charges including false imprisonment, kidnap and rape of a child.
Sadak Ali, of Foxton Road, Birmingham, and Hamza Sharif and Jake Green, both of St Margaret’s Road, Birmingham, entered their pleas at Birmingham Crown Court on Wednesday.
Sharif, 35, appeared via videolink from HMP Nottingham while Ali, 27, and Green, 23, stood in the dock.
All three men pleaded not guilty to a count of false imprisonment between August 24 and 27 this year.
Sharif denied further charges of kidnapping and rape of a child under 13.
Ali also pleaded not guilty to kidnapping, two counts of rape of a child under 13 and sexual assault of a child under 13.
Judge Peter Carr told the defendants their trial, which is expected to last between five and seven days, has been fixed for February 2 next year.
All three men, who wore grey tracksuits, were remanded in custody.
