27-year-old man charged with attempted kidnap after members of the public were attacked outside Birmingham school
A man has been charged with attempted kidnap and affray after members of the public were assaulted outside a school in Birmingham.
West Midlands Police officers were called to Vaughton Street South at 3.15pm on Tuesday (September 16), following a report of a man assaulting members of the public.
Officers arrived quickly at the scene and a man was detained.

Following a thorough investigation into the circumstances, Aron Tesfamriyam, from Stoke-on-Trent, has now been charged with three counts of attempted kidnap, three counts of assault by beating, and one count of affray.
The 27-year-old appeared at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday (September 19) where he was remanded in custody ahead of a further hearing next month.
Police believe this to be an isolated incident, but say they understand the concern it caused to the community at the time.
Officers have remained in close contact with the school and residents this week as patrols around the area have continued.
