'Unapologetically bold and confident' DJ named as official host of Wolverhampton Pride

A radio DJ whose work is centred around breaking boundaries and celebrating individuality has been named as the host of Wolverhampton’s day of celebrating diversity.

Wolverhampton Pride has announced Radio 1Xtra presenter Kaylee Golding as the host for the popular city event on Saturday, June 6 in West Park.

The Birmingham-based DJ will lead the LGBTQ+ inclusion celebrations in her unapologetically bold and confident style.

As part of the LGBTQ+ community, Kaylee’s work is centred around representing who people are.

Often blending her passions for music, culture, and lifestyle, Kaylee founded Hot Girl Brunch, an event to empower women and non-binary individuals through community and inclusivity and which also features an all-female DJ lineup.

She will host the free Wolverhampton Pride celebrations, which boast a line-up that includes P!nk tribute Vicky Jackson, The Ultimate Boyband Party Show performing boyband hits from the ‘90s, The Greatest Musicals Disco featuring local cabaret drag host RiiRii Le Pour, and many more.

Wolverhampton Pride is open for everyone to come together to celebrate, learn about and support LGBTQ+ inclusion within Wolverhampton, with the fundamental ethos being the city working together to deliver an inclusive and accessible celebration of the LGBTQ+ community.

Councillor Stephen Simkins, leader of Wolverhampton Council, said: “Having Kaylee as our confirmed host for Pride is fantastic news and we are proud to welcome her to our great city.

“The event is a superb way for everyone to come together and be themselves and this year’s Pride is made even more special by the event being FREE.

“Kaylee joins a host of brilliant artists ready to entertain and bring a great energy to West Park.

“Pride is also a wonderful family event where families can enjoy a range of activities and entertainment, so don’t miss out and make sure you come along and enjoy the day.”

Confirmed sponsors for Wolverhampton Pride 2026 include the University of Wolverhampton, Wolverhampton Homes, Enjoy Wolverhampton, WV Living, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre and Bevan Brittan.
