Jury shown CCTV of attack on car in seconds before two men were fatally shot in Wolverhampton
Mobile phone footage filmed by one of the attackers was recovered
A jury has been shown CCTV footage of an attack on a parked car moments before two men were fatally shot in a residential Wolverhampton street.
Mohammed Maneer Khan, 39, is on trial accused of shooting Duaine Mills and Syed Zain Ali in the head with a pistol as they tried to escape in an Audi A4, seconds after the victims had used a hammer and metal bar to “attack” a parked Audi RS6.
Mr Mills, who was 28, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the shooting, in Harrow Street, Whitmore Reans, at about 3.10am on September 19 last year, and 32-year-old father-of-three Mr Ali died in hospital of his injuries five days later.

Khan, who lived at the time in Great Hampton Street next to Harrow Street, is on trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court. He denies two counts of murder; one count of attempted murder relating to Sahil Idrees, a third man alleged to have been in the Audi A4; and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He has admitted fraud, having tried to obtain a passport in a false name.

Prosecutor Michael Burrows KC previously told the jury the minute-long attack on the RS6 happened seconds before the shooting in Harrow Street.
On Friday (October 23) the jury was shown CCTV footage of the attack on the car and the movements of the two cars in the hours before the shooting.
Between 12.30am and 12.45am on September 19 the RS6 was captured on Wolverhampton Council CCTV cameras travelling from the Vicarage Road area, southeast of the city’s ring road, to Whitmore Reans on the far side of the city centre.
The RS6 allegedly driven by Khan but not belonging to him carried on to the eastern end of Harrow Street where it was parked up and where the attack took place a little over two hours later.
In the intervening period the A4 was also spotted on cameras in nearby streets. At 1.05am it was seen reversing into Harrow Street, then at 1.26am parked in Chester Street where an unknown man was seen speaking to someone in the rear of the car.
At 3.01am cameras captured the A4 reversing into the western end of Harrow Street and three hooded men, identified as Mr Ali, Mr Mills and Mr Idrees, exiting the car before walking down the street.
Two of the men could be seen holding objects, alleged to be a metal rod and a hammer, as they approached the RS6.
CCTV from 3.06am captured the two swinging the objects at the car while the third man filmed the attack on a mobile phone. That brief mobile phone footage showing one of the men swinging a hammer at the car’s driver-side windows, causing cracks, was also played to the jury.
The car’s alarm triggered and the men began running back up Harrow Street towards the parked A4.
Mr Burrows previously told the jury that Khan ran after the attackers up Harrow Street and fired a handgun eight times, hitting Mr Ali in the driver’s seat and Mr Mills in the front passenger seat. Mr Idrees was not hurt, he said.
The jury is due to be shown further CCTV on Monday.

The prosecution alleges that the damage caused to the car was linked to an incident a month earlier in Manchester, in which a vehicle was also damaged.
Two other men are on trial accused of helping Khan obtain a false passport after the shooting.
Yaseen Patel, aged 35 and of Bromford Way, Birmingham, and Samir Patel, 43 and of St Catherines Close, Walsall, deny perverting the course of justice.
The trial continues.
