Inquest into death of workman in Walsall shop after carbon monoxide incident adjourned
The inquest heard Timmy’s restaurant in Creswell Crescent, Bloxwich was being refurbished and Mr Green was one of the workmen
An inquest surrounding a Staffordshire workman who died in a Bloxwich shop after a fatal carbon monoxide incident has again been adjourned.
The deceased man Donovan Green, aged 50, was working at Timmy’s Restaurant premises, in Cresswell Crescent, Mossley, Bloxwich, on September 26 last year when he became unwell and died, resulting in a major investigation.
Nine other people including emergency workers who arrived at the scene at about 9.40pm suffered the effects of the fumes and survived.

At the inquest opening in April the court heard Mr Green, of Stoke-on-Trent, went into cardiac arrest after a petrol generator emitted levels of carbon monoxide.
The inquest which resumed at the Black Country Coroners Court in Oldbury on Thursday heard evidence that Timmy’s restaurant in Creswell Crescent, Bloxwich was being refurbished and Mr Green was one of the workmen.
The court heard the franchise for the restaurant was held by Mohammed Khan and was part of a larger food premises company run by director Omar Khan - neither appeared at the hearing.
Two members of staff from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) did appear and said their investigation into the incident had already been extensive.
Senior Black Country Coroner Zafar Siddique asked for the evidence to be produced within 14 days and said the full inquest would be heard by jury within the next six months but he couldn’t at this stage set a date.
