Hospital's concern over Bridgnorth GP surgery patients using car park
The message said the situation has become ‘clinically unsafe’
A county medical practice has issued a message to patients over parking issues.
Bridgnorth Medical Practice said it had been contacted directly by the Bridgnorth Community Hospital over patients using the hospital car park.
It said that the situation was becoming an issue for ambulances needing to access the hospital.
The medical practice is currently using space at the hospital for appointments after flooding at its normal base - the neighbouring Northgate Health Centre.
The message asked patients attending medical practice appointments to use the neighbouring public pay-and-display car parks when attending.
It said: “We have received a message directly from Bridgnorth Community Hospital regarding ongoing parking concerns.
“Parking in the hospital car park is not permitted for patients attending GP surgery appointments.
“This has become clinically unsafe for ambulances and emergency services, who require immediate and unrestricted access at all times.
“We kindly ask all patients to respect these restrictions and use the usual nearby public pay-and-display car parks when attending the surgery.”
