Emotions, in Dudley Street, Sedgley shut its doors at the end of last week without notice.
A popular card shop in Sedgley has suddenly closed down, leaving customers confused and bewildered.
Emotions, in Dudley Street, Sedgley shut its doors at 2pm on Friday (May 29) without notice. It is not clear whether it is moving to another location or has closed its doors for good.
However, Google Maps states it is ‘permanently closed’.
The shop has another location in Market Street, Kingswinford which has also closed.
People posting on the Sedgley and Coseley (past and present) Facebook group expressed their surprise and disappointment.
Confident Tangerine2982 said: “ It was a nice decent shop, not cheap and tacky ,it's a shame it has gone you would think the owners would have said something though,
Carole Perkins Beardsmore said: “ Happened to Emotions in Kingswinford too, week last Friday!! I believe the 2 are under the same ownership. No notice, no thank you to loyal customers, just seems to have closed down and gone.”
Purple Alpaca3232 said: “I went in a couple of weeks ago and there wasn't much stock, I asked if they were downsizing and the lady at the till said no just having a move around,” whilst Catherine Mainstone said simply: “Very sad if it’s gone.”
The building in Sedgley dates back at least 60 years and was previously a fruit and veg shop
