South Staffordshire care home celebrates 'good' rating after its first CQC inspection
It was the home’s first inspection having been in operation for five years.
Lisbeth Nursing Home in Great Wyrley is celebrating a ‘good’ rating following its first CQC inspection after five years of operating.
In its very first Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection, the care home has been rated ‘good’, with its care classed as ‘outstanding’.
The care home provides short- and long-term services including residential, nursing and dementia care. It was inspected last month.
Andrea Walker, home manager, told the Express & Star: “This is our first Care Quality Commission inspection since we opened five years ago. I am very proud of our result which is ‘good’. However we got an ‘outstanding’ in care. I am so exceptionally proud of all my staff.”
A care home spokesperson said on social media: “We are incredibly proud to share that Lisbeth Nursing Home has been rated good in our latest CQC inspection! From a management perspective, this achievement means so much to us. We are truly proud of the dedicated, compassionate, and hard-working team we have.
“Their commitment to providing high-quality care and creating a warm, supportive environment for our residents shines through every single day.
“This result reflects not only their professionalism, but also the genuine kindness and respect they show to everyone in our home. Thank you to our wonderful staff, residents, and families for being part of this journey your support and trust mean everything to us. We look forward to continuing to grow, improve, and provide the best possible care.”
The Care Quality Commission is the prime independent regulator of health and adult social care across England. The quango is known for inspecting hospitals, GPs, and care homes to ensure they meet the right quality and safety standards.
Lisbeth Nursing Home is located at 204 Walsall Road, Great Wyrley.
