The charity is set to receive £1,500 from Willenhall-based Top Gear Tuning.

The company, which is owned by Daniel Kirk, has grown over the last two years to have 500 sub-dealers worldwide.

Daniel, 30, said Compton Care was a charity he and his team were passionate about and wanted to give back to after their struggles during the pandemic.

He said: “As a local business and a local lad from Wolverhampton, I really wanted to give back to Compton as they do an amazing job and have recently helped friends, family and colleagues during difficult times.

"Compton lies close to many of us, so since January this year we have committed to donate a minimum of 50p of every file sold at Top Gear Tuning to Compton Care.

“We sell roughly 500 files per month on average.”

To date, Top Gear Tuning has donated £1,500 and has pledged to continue making donations for the foreseeable future.

The funding will provide a boost to Compton Care as, with retail units being shut for a large period of the year and a decrease in fundraising, the charity has has been affected financially as a result of the pandemic.

Natalie Woods, corporate partnerships and trusts manager at Compton Care, said: “We are so grateful to Top Gear Tuning for choosing to support Compton Care.

“It has been an extremely challenging year for the charity but our team have gone above and beyond to support our NHS partners.

“We have faced a huge loss of income over the past year so partnerships like this are pivotal in helping us to ensure we can continue to provide our services to our community for many years to come.”
