Kate said: "To be recognised as a finalist for best hair business means more than I can put into words.

"After taking the leap into self-employment just a few weeks ago, this recognition is an incredible milestone and a reminder that hard work, passion and believing in yourself really do pay off.

"Every client who has trusted me with their hair has played a part in this achievement and I couldn't be more grateful for their continued support.

"This nomination inspires me to keep growing, learning and delivering the very best experience for every person who sits in my chair."

The UK Small Business Awards said: "The standard of entries this year has been incredibly high.

"Each finalist has demonstrated an exceptional level of dedication and achievement, representing the very best of UK small businesses."

The UK Small Business Awards will take place on December 19 at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham where finalists from across the UK will come together as the national top ten winners are revealed live on stage and streamed worldwide.
