Freedom of Information page unpublished from Wolverhampton Council's website

The log is used to publish information requested from the council by the public.

City of Wolverhampton Council’s Freedom of Information log was ‘unpublished’ from its website.

The disclosure log is used to document information released by the public authority under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 - which public bodies including the council are subject to - that gives people the right to ask for information.

The Express & Star made attempts to view the log this week on multiple occasions and was receiving a ‘403’ error message on the site that states: ‘You do not have permissions to access this page’. The latest attempt was this morning (September 4), just after 10.30am.

Upon querying this with the council via the ‘webmaster’ email, which is used to raise issues with the website, we were informed that the page was unpublished on August 5.

As of 1pm this afternoon (September 4), the page has been republished.

A spokesperson for the City of Wolverhampton Council said: “Thank you for your enquiry. There was a temporary issue with the FOI web page which has been resolved and the page is now live again.”
