Fancy a free pint? Three Lions fans invited to take up offer at West Midlands pubs ahead of Semi-final

Football fans supporting England during the World Cup Semi-final against Argentina are being invited to take up a special matchday offer.

Proper Pubs is running the offer at 12 pubs across the Black Country, Staffordshire and Shropshire for England matchdays, which allows customers buying four matching draught pints to receive a free fifth pint, using a matchday stamp card.

The pub chain said the ‘Straight Through Crew’ offer means that fans watching the game, which is being played in Atlanta at 8pm on Wednesday, will be able to save money while watching the games.

A spokesman for Proper Pubs said: “With the nation gearing up for England's showdown with Argentina, 27 community pubs across the West Midlands are rewarding the football devotees who refuse to miss a single second of the action during the semi-final.

“The ‘Straight Through Crew’ offer is designed for fans who settle in for the long haul.

“On England matchdays, customers who pre-pay for four matching draught pints will receive their fifth on the house.

“Fans are issued a matchday stamp card at the bar, which is ticked off as they collect each pint, ensuring less time is spent queuing and more time cheering.

“These pubs are part of Proper Pubs, the award-winning community wet-led operator division of Admiral Taverns, which has more than 200 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales.

“It’s a tactical masterstroke for those looking for world-class value while watching the Three Lions.”
