First look inside revamped Wolverhampton hotel
The hotel has been given a complete overhaul
Wolverhampton’s hospitality landscape has been given a boost with the rebranding and refurbishment of the former Redwings Lodge.
Now operating as the Garner Hotel Wolverhampton, the hotel has been completely transformed with the aim of elevating the visitor experience in the city centre.

The hotel, which reopened on May 8 under the Garner by IHG brand, underwent an extensive makeover which has touched every corner of the building, general manager Sinead Coyne said.
"Everything has been renovated - all of our guest bedrooms and bathrooms have been updated, along with our public areas and the bar,” she told the Express & Star - adding: “We've also got the welcome addition of air con now throughout the building.”

Sinead added: “We've had fantastic feedback so far from new and existing guests, who are really surprised by the scale of the transformation here at the hotel.”
She said Garner is a fairly new brand launched by IHG in 2023 globally, and she added: “It's one of their fastest growing brands.
“Each hotel is slightly different, offering a very relaxed atmosphere to guests.”

She said the rebranding of the venue “marks an exciting milestone not only for our hotel but also for the local hospitality sector” - adding: “It has been incredibly rewarding to hear guests comment on how much the hotel has changed and the improved comfort they now enjoy.
“We are proud to introduce our Garner hotel to Wolverhampton and look forward to welcoming both new and returning guests to experience the hotel for themselves.”

She said the hotel is expecting a good mix of guests given its “perfect location” - close to Molineux Stadium, home of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, and the University of Wolverhampton’s halls of residence and not far from Wolverhampton Arts Centre.
She added: “The investment reflects our long-term commitment to Wolverhampton and its growing visitor economy, providing improved accommodation for business travellers, football fans, and tourists visiting the city centre.”
