Fire crews extinguish van fire that spread to buildings and trees
The first crews were on the scene within four minutes of being mobilised
Firefighters battled a blaze that spread from a van to buildings and trees in Willenhall.
West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) was called to John Street at around 7pm on Tuesday (August 4) to reports of a fire. At the time members of the public were advised to avoid the area.
Crews from Willenhall, Wednesbury, Walsall and Bilston attended, with the first crews on the scene within four minutes of being dispatched.

“Crews tackled a van fire that had spread to adjacent buildings and trees using breathing apparatus equipment, one main jet and three hose reel jets,” a WMFS spokesperson said.
“Following the incident, crews used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots, and once they confirmed there were none, left the scene around 10.30pm.”
